What export formats are supported?
TXT, PDF, and Word (.docx) exports are supported in the web editor.
How should a picture book manuscript be formatted?
Scriblit drafts in spreads (the facing pages a reader sees) with bracketed illustration notes and live word and page counts, then exports to industry-standard TXT, PDF, and DOCX so submissions are formatted correctly without template wrangling.
What is a spread, and how does the editor handle it?
A spread is a pair of facing pages (for example 4–5 or 6–7), the unit a picture book is actually read in. Scriblit's spread-aware editor groups your manuscript into spreads with page-range labels so pacing and page turns match the printed book.
Does Scriblit PB work offline?
Yes. After you open Scriblit once while online, it keeps working without an internet connection, especially if you install it as an app on your device. Your subscription is remembered securely on your device, so you can keep writing anywhere without signal, and every manuscript is saved to your device rather than our servers. Reconnect to the internet now and then so Scriblit can re-verify your subscription.
Will there be a desktop app?
There is no separate desktop app to download, and none is planned, because Scriblit installs straight from your browser instead. In Chrome or Edge you can add it to your computer or phone so it opens in its own window and works offline, just like a native app. See the Installing the App page in the docs for step-by-step instructions.
